Newbie from Huddersfield
« on: January 07, 2014, 03:37:52 pm »
Hi All

Just managed to register after a week of lurking on the forum as the registration kept showing down however finally made it.
As the title suggests, just recently bought a 2005 Golf Gti DSG, lovely car, massive jump in refinement from my previous car which some of you may not be happy about, '05 Civic Type R Premier model  which I had modified and was a very quick car approx 245bhp NA
I've had a mix bag of jap and german motors and this being my 3rd golf (mk2 gti, mk3 gti)
I like to modify my cars performance so will be hopefully snapping up a few bits and bats as well as some maintenance work.
If this forum is anything like the CTRO forum I'm sure there will be some great banter to enjoy...
Cheers

Cars been filthy since I have got it due to weather, but I'll post pics up as soon as I get a chance to clean it.
The civic was an awesome car defo a handful, however needed to change from 3drs to 5 due to 2nd baby coming and felt this was good replacement. Definitely appreciate the smooth drive and ease to drive due to the DSG however it definitely needs an increase in power compared to the Civic that I'm used too :happy2:

Thankfully this forum isn't like the CTRO

Been there done that. Don't worry about asking questions without someone accusing you of being a troll  :happy2:

Thanks mate, CTRO is a good forum loads of information in a well organised lay out. Some folk on there can be a nuisance though!

I was on there about 6-7yrs ago but as soon as the CTR got "affordable" it went beyond fun banter to the point where you cant ask a question without some smart 6rse reply  and it got tiring IMHO.

Plenty of banter on here, but less keyboard warriers  :happy2:

funnily enough however, the folk who cause the problems there no longer drive Ep3's, so they are purely trolling. I was originally on Type R owners 6 years ago but joined on CTRO approx 18 months ago as it had more traffic so there was more sale ads etc
TRO is a grown up forum. The mods there don't allow any crap!
