New Mk3 Leon Cupra

Thoughts guys?

Not for me visually, but it seems the way most manufacturers are going with regards the subtle looks. Seems to give off a 'TDI with big rims' look to me.
Good to see a mech diff in place as standard and I am sure it will be well kitted out.
Not to sure what the point of the 265 model is though?

Not a bad looking car. My guess is the 265 possibly meets a lower emissions band for car tax reasons???

Haing driven both the diesel and petrol MK3 Octavias and felt sick I will keep an eye on these.

I like that. Interior looks smart, styling typical VAG cookie cutter but not offensive, power/diff/brakes good.

What's not to like for so little money?
Sideways yo!

I think I actually prefer the new Ibiza over this... I priced one up on a finance deal the other day & I am very tempted - The combination of blue, panoramic sun roof, & led lights is very appealing!

The question for me is,

is this still a 2.0TFSI engine like the Golf R which has been renamed a 2.0TSI!! or have they detuned the new S3 engine?

It says TSI. No TFSI's from the factory with 280 horses.

Looks a lot like an Audi A3 I thought on first look!

Really I am thinking the opposite.  Its £27k+, which can't be far off the new Golf R and S3.

SEAT have to be a little behind, but usually add something a bit better to the mix (more power / better brakes etc.)

This is no doubt a Mk7 GTI in drag.............. £27k+ though, that for real?... hmm.

The Golf R, scirocco R and Cupra R all say its a 2.0TSI, but they arent, they were 2.0TFSI with re-labled engine covers! Wouldnt take much to get 280 from the 2.0TFSi so its possible surely.

If it is a 2.0TSI it will be interesting to see if its the detuned S3 or tuned up GTI setup.

The new S3 is TFSI too.

What the f*ck is actually TSI... just the Mk6 GTI? (with chain jumping engine lunching sh*te).. what about the Mk7 is that a true TSI, yikes.

The GTI/vRS etc are all genuine TSI.
