Update Three 22/10/09- Stage 2 revo map and 3" Downpipe


Right, back from mine and Poverty’s little AMD makeover.

I had a 3” Blueflame downpipe and 100 cell sports cat fitted as well as revo stage 2 loaded on

I DON’T have the fuel pump yet so stage 2 was what I had to go for.

The results were not too much more than what I was running on stage one but I did have a sort of stage 1+ going on due to more boost over a normal stage 1 code…

To round everything off, the car pulled 360 BHP and 360 Torque with 320 at the wheels.

I have a HUGE flat spot from 3.5k to 4.5 k though as evident on my graph which I will post here soon, the fuel pump should sort this I hope.

Are you boys supposed to have sound deadening on the underside of the bonnet or have you removed it?

i took mine off, pov has his still on :) as seen in the pictures

Im still a bit concerned about my RR , ill get graph up in a bit, but im trying to compair my stage one against stage two by using the atmospheric temp data and correcting factor (which was different on both)

Great results my friend  :congrats: need to get myself a downpipe now and stage 2, is there any difference in exhaust sound with the standard cat back still in place but different downpipe/cat?

a totally different sound.. no longer do we have the nice sounding whooosh noise caused by a large restriction and backpressure, it now sounds like a grunting car ...

i have a small video i might upload with sound so check back in a bit

Thanks, it sounds a lot different to standard, I like it  :pomppomp: think I need to get involved in this mod also, but I am going to wait to see if the new Cupra R fuel pump is different than standard and get one plus the downpipe and stage 2+ map at the same time.

after speaking to revo it seems the new pump wont be a good alternative to an APR or modded standard pump :(

and the private road was on the  german autobahn ;) wink

sound good dont they  :evilgrin: i have the very first version of your downpipe on mine and its one of the best sounding exhausts i have heard on a golf with a cat  :evilgrin:

Its a good setup they have there at AMD essex. I noticed your run was done in 5th gear same as mine when i was there last.

I emailed them to ask the reasons they choose to do their runs in 5th as a pose to 4th, but have not had a response.
Is the REvo K1 leon stage 2+ or just stage 2 cos they have pretty similar outputs
