Yeah if your going to buy cheap keep the invoice as you'll need it to get replaced under warranty in the coming months.
That's fact, you get what you pay for.

Technically the are genuine because there branded....I can't seem to justify spending £70 more when there a bit off plastic I'm guessing there's that much off difference then..I think he is gonna negotiate it in the price and says it runs fine..he's of this forum the black gti

Okay, buy a cheap NON GENUINE maf .

Thanks for the 'constructive' comment unlike the others..it's not hard to be decent and you clarified what I asked...that they will most likely fail being cheap

Okay sorry for being harsh.
But this happens a lot and it annoys me

People ask for advice - Eg what maf do I buy
People give advice - buy a genuine one
People who originally asked for advice - i'm going to buy a non genuine maf.

Makes me wonder some of us bother. Any electrical or suspension component, bush etc, all needs to be genuine.
Mafs are VITAL to the correct running of the engine. I've SEEN first hand "new" non genuine mafs that are faulty, new "non faulty" MAFS that make the car run WORSE than the faulty genuine part..

Through work we get the odd customer who won't buy a genuine sensor whether that a MAF or MAP sensor and end up buying cheap usually from Europarts 8/10 of these sensors fail again within 3/4 months.
Costing more in the long run to get the car diagnosed again and the inconvenience of the car being in the garage again.
Genuine is expensive but it's for a reason.
If you were trading a car in or not keeping the car then cheapest is fine but you do get what you pay for.
