MK5 TDI to MK5 GTI to MK6 GTI!

New to VW and thought it was time I started one of these threads to monitor my progress!

Here it is when I got it. 1.9 TDI Sport



My current plans are to make it look like a GTI (as currently I cannot insure on a GTI at the age of 19  :fighting:)

Current mods:
BBS 17" Monza Alloys

Planned:
GTI Side Skirts
GTI Rear Bumper
GTI Front Bumper
GTI Exhaust System
3D Boot Badge colour coded
Interior LED's
LED Sidelights & Xenons
Tinted Windows
Remap
Aux or RNS 510
GTI Seats

First mod was some BBS Monza alloys!

Hiya mate, I bought my 1.9 tdi when I was 18, so i know exactly what you mean about insurance on a GTI lol.
I've been searching for an OEM complete GTI front bumper for a while now, you don't see many come up.
Monzas look good too dude.  :happy2:

alright mate, nice looking base!  :happy2: i also went for the 1.9tdi, i decided the 1.9 over the 2.0 due to the 1.9tdi having a well known name of being bomb proof (and needless to say its lived up to expectations so far) have it remapped and it'll feel like a different car!  :happy2:

plans sound good. look forward to seeing progress

Hoepfully when i'm a bit older I can finally have a proper one  :driver:

Got to work on some other simple mods today, installed LEDs all round, HID bulbs, brought rear 3D boot badge and colour coded and also had a full full major service with brake fluid change!

Busy day to say the least!

I think I much prefer the silver monzas. What does everyone think? Black or silver?

Im liking the new mods a lot, and about the wheels I think it makes the car look a bit too plain
