And charge me for a new one... Has anyone heard of this happening? They have said the mechanic was using a crowbar to loosen it but couldn't. I have told them to leave it until I have a think about it. What's your thoughts? BS or what?

mine was stuck fast last week... bit of brute force and it came loose

remove the cranckcase if you want to be sure. But bit of the brutal force and it shut pop out

Tap it very lightly with a hammer anti clockwise see if it moves, if not and it brakes you can buy new ones from TPS cheap enough.

Mine originally broke with the handle at the top failing off, so in the end just used a pair of players to turn it, I'm guessing it isn't as simple as that?

My dealer broke mine taking it off and replaced it FOC, Even lent me a courtesy car overnight whilst they sorted it.

they just seize on, its much easier to have a propper filter,

we've done a few services were the filter was stuck fast,

plastic housing is crap.....
