The Jap crap jsut run and run... had a 1.8VTi Civic that didn't need anything either, also had a Yaris T-Sport that's still in the family, done stupid mileage and is perfect, gets oil changes and is used as the rag around...  maybe there's something in the low torque no FI shizzle for longevity.

Less torque less stress.

Yeah, however, you'd hope the manfucaturer would build the entire system to cater for the extra stress...

I'd love a car with the free revving, 9k rpm engine of a ep3 coupled with a supercharger that weighs <500 kg oh wait that's the arial atom mk1.

Anyone driven one?

I've had 4 ep3's and one was turbo charged 414 bhp, they are a awesome car to.use on the track and driving to and from, but as I'm getting old I realised so.is the ep3. I needed more refinement and luxury. But if I could have a ep3 as a track car again I would

I moved from a civic type r to a mkv gti I had 3 - 1 ek9 mega highly modded 208 bhp from a 1.6 N/A and 2 ep3's - first one was a face lift with 220 bhp and the second was a preface lift highly modded to 250bhp 175 lbft ,as said above the CTR's are a hoot to take out for a blast or on track but once you start to approach your 30's hard to live with on a daily basis lol!

It's like comparing chalk and cheese really there totally different cars, the gti is much more refined and the build quality is in a different league,in terms on reliability the Hondas for me win hands down.

But like said above when the ep3's became affordable enough the chavers descended and they started getting a bad name and even worse modifications !!
