Thanks dude :).  The paint is a bit marked at the moment though :(.  I used a contaminated microfiber and didn't noticed until it got into the sun.  Hoping I can polish it out by hand if not then the DA will be coming back out lol.

Loving this colour (nothing wrong with silver) and prefer the 18's. Side skirts will help to finish off the textured front and rear.

Great work  :happy2:

Thanks dude.  I do plan on side skirts soon actually.  Mainly to cover up a bit of damage from the widow maker :(.  All the textured bits will be coloured coded eventually though :)

Thanks dude.  I've got a 5mm spacer on the back and that's as much as I can go without risking damaging the arch if I hit a pothole or uneven bit of road.  The fronts could do with spacing a tad though but do occasionally rub already.

I'm definetely after some xenons in the future though.  Something I've wanting for a while :)

Right so I'm slowly getting a few little issues sorted with the car.

Hopefully August time I will be getting 2 new wings.
New tyres and more lows
GLI Side skirts
All the black textured bits colour coded.

Also just done oil and filters.  I'm going to do the oil again in 5k and then filters again in 10k.  Want to keep on top of it and make the car last.  I've had to purchase a new exhaust bracket due to mine snapping.  Will hopefully get this fitted soon.  Not exactly sure why it has broken but the new one I have is steel so should be ok for the life of the car now.

Other than that nothing much new has happened. I've gave the car a good clean and machined a couple of panels and will be doing the rest in time.

Couple of obligatory photos once it had been cleaned...

Thought I'd update this as it's been a while.  Nothing major but still worth doing! :)

I went to adjust my coilovers and they're seized solid.  Tried everything to unseize them but I just ended up wrecking the adjuster rings.  I need some new ones for MOT time as now the adjusters are knackered the spring doesn't automatically seat correctly being let down after being jacked up.   I'm hoping for some Apex RDXs but funds are really right at the moment as I'm getting married next year so it'll most likely be FK's again :(.

And more recently I've been correcting the paint work (again) due to more swirl marks which I caused using QD when my car was was beyond just a little dusty.

Small before and after

It took around 17 hours in total (inc prep).   I wanted to get it looking nice for the Uk-Mkivs MegaMeet as I entered it into the show and shine, which paid off!

And a couple of photos from the day

I won the Overall Winner and Peoples choice, best in show.  Was extremely surprised as I wasn't expecting anything.  It's made my year! So glad all my hard work paid off :)

Thanks dude .  I'm really happy with how it looks.  I just need to go over the drivers side and the bonnet a bit more :(.  The pad I was using got to the point it wasn't cutting as good anymore so there are still a few swirls in the sun on that side.  Going to order a new orange Hexlogic pad soon and give it a 2-3 passes and it should be a lot better :)
