Good to see it being used and to having the nuts driven out of it    Just goes to show high millage cars that get well looked after, look after you...   only needed a gear box rebuild.

Exactly!! Once up to temp you can drive them pretty hard just keep in mind EGTs and oil temps.. with drag racing it's OK cause it's only a quarter mile at a time! Oil changes every 7-10k depending on mileage.. Everyone said using a car every day for short journeys is bad for it but my commute for my entire duration of ownership was 2 miles.. 

My GTI has been more unreliable :(
