Wing Mirror Housing Cap
« on: January 16, 2014, 07:24:03 pm »
After a metallic black passenger side wing mirror housing cap and possibly mirror..

Anyone know where i can get a genuine one or nearest too for a decent price? Not sure where to look for parts like this apart from the usual look on Ebay.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Would prefer if it was already painted metallic black to match the car but i understand there is probably a small chance of that so if anyone knows of a breakers yard in or as close to Preston as possible i can ring and ask to see if their breaking any MK5 golfs and call down

or

Another route of ordering a primed one online and then fitting it till i can get it sprayed to match the car

Thanks a lot for the help. I think everything is still in tact except the painted case and the glass.. don't think i need the full wing mirror.. If i got a primed mirror case housing do you have any idea of how much it would cost to have painted off the top of your head?

Have you considered buying one in any colour then wrapping both in met black or carbon? Much cheaper and not that difficult! Loads of tips/videos online! Even I can wrap things and I have 0 patience!

It may be a while ago but VW were able to supply you with the correct colour coded ones if you made a special order at your local VW parts dept.
