Tyre help

I currently have the 17" monzas on the car but I just bought some 18" monza IIs and I'm wanting some new tyres for the 18s as they came with stretches on. what does the XL mean on the tyres some have it and some don't when I'm looking any ideas? Do I need tyres with XL ?

the XL on the tyres is extra load, meaning its reinforced because of the low profile, you'll usually find that on most low profile tyres.

if you're after low profile id go for a 215/35. a 225/40 will give you a better ride though, I get so much road noise on my 35's!

Learn something new each day cheers for helping. The tyres I took off were 215/35 ha they were really low, just a tad low profile for me I think. Didn't like how the rim was slightly sticking out either. I never fitted them to the car but if your saying they are really noisy I'm pleased I whipped them off
