Yes mate and easy enough to do ! just get a trimmers to change the stitching to orange on the wheel and gaiter then colour code the strips !

Would also need to lose the tartan and swap for leather as it doesnt go with orange at all lol !

Audi/Ford do a beautiful white with a kinda blue hue to it. Reckon that would work very well on a mk5 gti

Electric White (don't have the code). Its a fricking nightmare to match!

Ford Electric Orange or Ultimate Green. You know it makes sense!

Absolutly love Electric White !

Make sure you get Electric and not Frozen. Frozen white is the flat white from the RS and the Kuga.

The orange would look amazing IMO, especially with the black details similar to what you already had.  I think you'd have to get the red line around the edge of the GTI grill done in orange too though  :happy2:

Thought i would try to make my own cherry red R32s today and if it failed i would shell out the money for a set !

but for the sake of 6quid spray and some masking tape i thought id have a go :)

Turned out really well ! just a flat and polish now !

You tinted the outside rather than opening them up and spraying the internals, thats a bold move, I've never seen it done like that before.

Nonetheless they look great so it must have worked, must have been a right pain in the a*se to get that tape in the right place.

look awesome mate

how about a write up? wouldn't mind trying this seen others in america do it this way.

couple of questions, they seem very glossy, did you clear coat over the tint spray? If not did the spray not polish off?

No clear coat mate ! the trick with light tint spray is very light coats but loads of them ! these had 8 coats 4 in a horizontal motion and 4 in a vertical motion ! they turned out really well to be honest and there is no lip between the inner cirlce and the light housing where the paint stops !

I buzzed over them with my machine polisher and some medium cut and they came up awesome ! then a coat of dodo wax and they look brand new

look awesome

to be fair it wasnt mate ! just laid stips of tape one at a time and trimmed the edges off with a very sharp scalpal but only pressing hard enough to cut the tape ! masking was about 25 mins then 10 mins to paint
