But you are comparing a heavily modified mk5 to a standard mk7. Of course one is going to appear a bit "luke warm"

....Nowadays as my Mk5 is somewhat modified, yes. But I think it's still true regarding a stock OEM Mk5 compared with a Mk7. Just my opinion.

Coincidentally I saw a Mk7 drive past today and I want to like it but find I can't. I don't especially dislike the Mk7 and I prefer it to the Mk6 (except the Golf R) but it doesn't initiate any excitement whatsoever and that's sad that such an iconic brand as a GTI doesn't do so.

To be fair I haven't driven any Mk7 nor have I ridden in one. I reckon I would absolutely hate all those driving aid prompts etc. I could easily get a test drive but I simply don't feel inspired enough to arrange one. ETTO.

dont think it will look better than the R (which doesnt look all that) plus 4 tailpipes, is that really needed for a car with less than 300BHP?

I've never been a fan of four exhausts on the 6 pot E46 M3's... On a four pot its even worse.  It's gotta be a V8 at least

....Although my 4-pot Mk5 GTI has quad pipes I tend to agree!

However, I didn't know any better when I first had them back in 2005. But at least Milltek customised the system to visually make my quads less obvious and I'm happy about it and that's all that matters.

Photobucket is loading as if it's struggling through treacle in wellies and so I can't post a pic. All their techsupport can say is use Google Chrome and I'm a longterm paying customer! Grrrrrr!!

Single can for 2.5T 5 pot... Four cans for 2.0T 4 pot.

I wonder it that RS Q3 maps as well as the TTRS does.
