You still stage 1 Tom or has the slope been greasy recently..

Still stage 1 mate, I am gonna try and save up some pennies when I get back from the Ring and go stage 2+ and DSG map in one hit. My aim is to get in the mid-low 12s  :happy2:

you'll need to get rid of them elephants ears you call wing mirrors to run some decent times

Pipe down shorty! You're just jealous because you've got an old one  :P :P

Be mighty impressive if you get those sort of times mate.. You need to get to Pod and run it to see what it'll do on a proper 1/4 mile track..  :signLOL:

GTI can be as quick as it wants, but my dream car has been Porsche GT3 for a LONG time. If I had the money, I'd buy THAT car, not M3 or GTR or Lambo or Ferrro - GT3.

It wasn't meant to be agressive Mr. Butler  :P I agree with you that the mirrors are ridiculously big and it is the only thing I dislike about the car   I am gonna pin the ears back when I do some 1/4 miles me thinks!

Couple more here too..
Same Golf vs Maserati Cambiocorsa
&NR=1

Another Golf vs mapped 335i
&NR=1

And my personal favourite (although not a Golf) is the E30 M3 with M5 V10 transplant vs New M3  :surprised:

That E30 M3 with V10, the guys say it has 1000hp. Of course it is no contest!!!  :rolleye:

Lol.. I did wander how long this would take to turn into a 'theres no way a Golf can do that' or a 'Yeah but Id rather have a GT3 RS over a Golf'..

Reminds me of the old Audi Sport days..

The point is that a tuned ED30 is a fast car, no matter what the shape, brand or asking price..

I got RIPPED into royally for daring to suggest that my S3 was faster than an RS4.. Or my friends 997 GT3 RS.. Until I posted a video (when it had around 420hp) and it pulled and pulled away..

Then it was, oh the Porsche driver can't change gear, he let you win bla bla bla.. Just find all this stuff boring..

And an R26 vs. a tuned ED30.. Please!!!! lol.. A friend of mine has a R26.R with intercooler, map, de-cat bla bla bla and its complete comedy how the Golf pulls away from it..

If your going to argue whats faster in a straight line then go to the 1/4 and post a time, then the bulls*it stops..

Right Ben?
