BSH Catch Can Install
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:38:34 pm »
Hi All,

I received my new catch can and am now looking to get it installed on my S3.  Is there anybody in the East Anglia area with experience of installing these that would be willing to give me hand?  I'll make sure some  :drinking: tokens are involved and will travel as well.

Hi KRL, did you download the instructions from the BSH website? They're good instructions (says he who couldn't/didn't do the installation himself!).

http://www.bshspeedshop.com/instructions/fsi_catch_can.pdf

Or is your need for help more related to exactly where to install on the S3?

Yes I did download the instructions ans they do seem pretty clear.  I'd just like a helping hand location wise in the S3 and for the install as well.

For those with an S3, I haven't done full instructions as the ones on here / BSH ones suffice, but here are some of the things I noted doing it in my car:

Any other questions let me know.

fwiw you don't have to tighten those 90 degree connectors till they bottom out on the manifold plate as the threads are NPT so should seal properly well before that point.
I agree about having to trim the connector to keep it flush with the surface of the plate though.
