CAI or Panel filter
Full turbo back exhaust with sports cat or de cat
FMIC
Upgraded DV
HPFP

And probably a clutch and upgraded brakes.

When I bought the car i fitted Revision D DV, new PCV, forge twin take, autotech hpfp also whilst upgrading my internals I realised that my cam follower had worn through and ate my intake camshaft so am in the process of fitting a s3 one, supposedly these are better for tuning.
 I believe my standard FMIC should be good enough for k03 power, what do you guys think? Also can't I just add a de cat down pipe and leave it at that as my local tuner Steve @ stattlers has told me cat back is more for the noise although it will release a few horses it's not a have to.

Downpipe and HPFP.  Spend the rest on Brakes.

The stock GTi plastic fmic is good for 270-275hp worth of  peak effective air flow from the ko3, the power will drop off a lot faster running the stock fmic vs an upgrade higher flowing unit, some cases 20-25hp less at the top end after peak power rpm.  The other factor is cooling the delta raise is AITs can easy creep from 12deg to 49deg+ on a long 4th gear pull,  this is not helped due the the air con rad sitting right up front blocking the air flow into the cooler fins and if the car has been on motorway a lots there there is a good chance the air con rad find are bent and blocking all flow to the Intercooler core.
This tone of year out side temps 8-11deg cooling not a issue and the car should maintain 270-275hp but mid summer with the stock fmic with temp at 25-28deg the performance will suffer in a big way.   With the ko3 setups stage2+ I recommend the alloy s3 Intercooler and the devils own wmi kit running a 50:50 mix.
