R32 bumper and exhaust fitment

Ive fitted a R32 bumper to my golf, i notice there is part of the chassis protruding into the area the exhaust locates. I have attached a photo below.



Its not the heat shield its the grey part which seems like it will be in the way, do i just knock it up a bit?

It's part of the body of the car, I take it your having a custom made or fitting a R32 exhaust designed to fit a non R32?

You could knock it up but it would be covered by the valance diffuser thingy mabobby, so unles it causes an issue with fitting the exhaust there isn't any need.

im making up a custom pipe to replace the silencer, after having a look at the R32 style milltek it looks asif the tail pipes compensate for this lip, ill see how it goes. Cheers
