door module

my alarm started going of on my car tonight and fearing the worst that some bodwatrying to Nick it I rushed out side andnoticed my led indicator for the alarm is not working  so pressed the fob and the doors open except the drivers door and now noticed the window  switchs and fuel flap doont work or light up...Had it scanned poss be door module is this it

When i had your problem it was situated in drivers side door, looked exactly like that. VW replaced to fix.

Mine was in for a service last week, similar issue with the door module showing a fault and had one or two issues with the alarm. Turned out to be a flat battery. Not enough charge to unlock the door.

To answer your question, yes that is it, comes as a complete unit and as long as you don't have folding mirrors can be found quite cheaply all over ebay as there all standard except if you have folding mirrors
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

does it come part as the window motor or bought on its own

Thank you for the advice Si-have an account with tps at work ,will ring themto see if i can buy it seperate but found one on e-bay £45,will cheeck also the wiring hasn't snapped in the harness first :happy2:

You can't buy the black box, you have to buy a complete motor
