possably worn bushes??
« on: August 18, 2015, 08:06:54 pm »
Hi, I have noticed over the last couple weeks that when my car I stationary or moving very slowly that when I turn the steering I get a creaking sound from the front end, sounds like it could be a bush of some sort, is this likely? If so what one is likely to be making the noise or if not a bush what else could be causing the noise?

Thanks

Possibly the lower control arm bushes? Anything picked up
On the last MOT or service? My control arms bushes are worn and will be replacing with the whiteline anti lift kit.

Nah nothing picked up but it was 8 months ago, the control arm bushes is that the front ones in the wishbone? Or are they the ones you get with the antilift kit? Cheers

The lower control arm
Bushes are the ones you get in the kit so it a no brainer for me to swap the worn bushes and upgrade at the same time. The creaking could be a brake binding? My brakes creak a little.  does the noise only happen with steering lock on? If so it could be the power steering motor but I'm guessing a bit, the more info you can give the better
