Catch Can Fitting for Octavia vRS

<< < (4/4)

Bogwoppit:
To save starting a new thread I thought I would post this here, same car Octavia vRS TFSI.

Here are some pics of the BSH High capacity catch can I fitted at the weekend. It differs from your kit slightly mater as there are no 90 degree elbows for the BSH plate. Also there were no jubilee clips with mine so I have temporarily fitted some cheap zinc plated ones, will replace with stainless steel at a later date.
Also, spoke to my insurance last night and it makes no difference to my policy as it doesn't increase the performance.  :happy2:

If you have an aftermarket induction kit it may not be possible to fit your can here

Looking good mate  :happy2:

Very helpful re the higher capacity can and although not a GTI, I can see how things could fit.

@ Mr Bogwoppit, where did you get those straight metal unions from?

Were they supplied with your kit?

Yes there were the ones that came with the kit.

Just checked the BSH website and the pictures also show the metal unions with the high capacity (or competition as it is now called) catch can. The smaller can comes with the plastic elbows, which TBH would have made routing the pipes under the engine cover a little easier.
