Re: Joshy's Mk5 Golf Gti build thread [NOW BAGGED!!]
« Reply #61 on: May 28, 2014, 09:05:38 pm »
Well the golf is finally bagged!!! :drinking:
Some photos:

I still have a lot of work to be done, but will do all then once i've moved down to oxford and have free weekends!
Me being an idiot, didn't check that i could turn my wheels at drive height, and consequently, i've done this :fighting: :fighting:  both sides are like it too, so now i have to take it to a bodyshop! Should i get the arches just fixed up, or should i have them rolled and then fixed up. What would be a price estimate of both options! :)

Looks greatt josh.

You've done exaftly what I done and most people on air do to their archers haha. I'd get them cut away then rolled. Depending where you're based I can help you out with a guy who does it? He's done all
My paint.

Thought i'd grab some photos of the golf at its new home in Oxford! I've still got a lot to sort on this car regarding the air as its now sat low enough yet, and it still feels it knocks a bit to me. More progress soon!

FINALLY AN UPDATE!

Over the weekend a new boot build was completed. I cannot thank my mate enough, it looks the nuts. I also took the rear bump stops out so now its sat lower. I'd like to go even lower but the front wheels are sat on the arch liners!

Thanks mate! I need to get the wheels sorted asap. They look shocking at the minute. I should have left the plasti-dip on that the previous owner did!

Cheers! It was build by a friend of mine, he does some quality work.
