3 door looks better, but the 5 door golf (all the way back to the MK2) always looks better than its 5 door competitors, I include the A3 in that.

When I had to bin the Focus ST for a 5 door, Golf was the only thing i considered. The 5 door ST is bloody 'orrible.

I actually prefer the look of a 5dr, they're longer, so when slammed, they look lower in a way..
But I wish I'd gotten a 3dr purely due to weight, mine is a 1.6 FSI, so doesn't benefit from the added weight of the 5dr body :sad1:

According to Parkers they are both 1328kg. Take that with a pinch of salt though. I am sure the last focus 5 door weighed 26kg more than the 3door though.

Yeah I'm sure it's heavier due to added bracing as well as length of floors, exhaust, roof, etc.
Haven't researched or anything, was just assuming haha

Hehe  :wink: in all seriousness though, it really bugs me having to get out and fold the seat forward every time I have people in the car, which can be quite often.. so I'm welcoming the arrival of my 5 door  :party:
