Hi VCDS is Diagnostic software that is specifically for VAG cars from I think 1998 onwards from memory you can tap into your car diagnose faults and change settings on your ecu!

I personally have a few fault code readers that are specific to VAG cars its not vag com but has never let me down in the past if anybody has an eml on ill happily scan your vehicle if you stick a few quid in my Mark 5 Gti fund!
