Boot Lid
« on: February 10, 2014, 10:59:58 am »
Morning All,

Im after a few part numbers just to change the struts on my boot. When i open it, the boot fails to open all the way due to the weakness in the struts. Can i just replace these with the Skoda ones for the boot pop mod, or do i need another part too?

Thanks

You need the following:

2x Skoda Fabia Gas Struts                    6Y0 827 550 C
2x Scirocco (Sprung) Pump stops          1K8 827 761 D
2x Seat Leon Ball pins                          1J6 827 439 A

And a little bit of vagcom magic.  :happy2:

Sorry I didn't make myself clear.... I mean I just want to replace the struts to open the boot all the way after opening manually! I wasn't sure if I needed just the struts for this or end pins ect.

Thanks!

You cant use the Skoda struts unless you've  change the other parts required above...if you dont wish to do this, then just get the  standard golf replacements
