Newbie mk5 gti owner!
« on: February 13, 2014, 01:06:50 pm »
Im soon to be the proud owner of my 1st mk5 gti, just waiting for the changeover from private plates. Car is a 5dr 55 plate in blue graphite with xenons and heated leather. I think there are other extras the owner didnt realise such as blue tints, cooled glovebox, armrest with heaters and im certain it has 10 speakers. Will get some pics up when i get to bring it home

Blue tints were standard on the  pre VW supplier changeover .. although not sure what I like better the tinted rears or the blue tints.. hmmm  :popcornsoda:

Good spec though :) Bet you can't wait.

just drove the car back and all seems fine apart from an annoying sound when hitting bumps from the rear :scared: its a metal to metal sound like the exhaust/heat shield knocking but cant seem to get the noise to happen when moving the exhaust about. is this common?

Check inside the boot under the boot floor for tool kit rattling about?

Just an idea

common fault is the dirt shields on the rear come loose and rattle around
