New mk5 owner from the north east
« on: February 17, 2014, 02:24:42 pm »
I have been a VW enthusiast since day one and couldn't wait to get my hands on my first car.

So, I had a little 1.4 VW Lupo, loved her to bits, just as you should no matter what your first car ended up being, had her for 1 whole year, fitted brand new wheels, a cheep set of coil overs and a custom powerflow exhaust, I couldn't help my self.  Went all out on making sure she was safe, so in went a new gearbox, clutch and breaks as well of loads of other bits and bobs, but she was never quite a golf  :sad1:

Time went on and I saved like never before to get a hold of a mk5

This is what ii have ended up with

My mk5 Golf GT TDI
picked her up for around £4000
with 90,000 miles on.
Not sure if I did well or got ripped off but its done now. So far I have had all the wheels refurbished, the belts done, the breaks done, and I have just had a set of H&R springs fitted so she sits better.

Sure there will be more to come but I am thinking this will probably be a slow and subtle build

Next on the list are,
stamped plates
Edition 30 front splitter
gti back bumper, sprayed
and maybe a milteck non resonated exhaust system

I will be looking out for you!

Small update,
Got the Stamped plates on yesterday and also, new gear stick and some lights

Not quite to everyone's taste but I'm quite happy with it.
Car needs a clean. Again.
