Sorry to the OP for his loss & I hope the thieving c**ts get what they deserve, but I am totally confused on the alarm/deadlock/button pressing debate now, can we have a definete answer on wether to do 1 press or 2 presses please?
I've always double pressed as I thought the klunk you hear after the double pressing was the deadlock working
