Interior LED lights
« on: May 27, 2011, 03:51:49 pm »
Hi guys!

Was thinking of changing the interior lights in my golf from standard bulbs to LED ones. Looking for a more crisp look to the interior and think white LED will match the Blue DIM Lighting.

Has anybody on here done it before? or does anyone have any pictures or links to previous threads?

As always opinions and suggestions welcome... would be good to hear what everybody thinks.

Thanks!

PJC

Put these in the interior of mine,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280593285714

They do have one small problem in that they do just glow with the residual voltage in the system. Bought 3 sets and made an offer of £18 which was accepted. Don’t use them in the footwall as they require canbus friendly LED’s.  :happy2:

I got these for the footwell and they work great :happy2:

Do you find that these pulse when the ignition is cycled? I'm yet to find a set that don't do this in conjunction with the other LED's in the car.
If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.

Yes actually they do pulse. I only have these in the foot wells so it actually adds a bit more effect :happy2:. My other interior lights have different bulbs which don't pulse but they wouldn't work in the foot wells, probably because they are not canbus error free (these bulbs were put in by the previous owner).

Definitely worth doing. I changed all of mine including glove box & boot. Not cheap but I think it's worth it

Yes definitely. The white LED's look so much better than the original 'yellow' bulbs :happy2:

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but has anyone tried the blue LED interior lights? Can't make up my mind if they look utter s***e or great.
