Mechatronics Question

Hey Guys,

Has anyone replaced their own mechatronics units.
If so, can you adjust the required settings and alignments etc via vagcom only?

As I believe the mechatronics units come pre-coded with some sort of base coding already.

Any help would be appreciated.
