Edition 30 or Pirelli Edition
« on: February 14, 2014, 08:25:37 am »
Hi guys,

Looking to get a Edition 30 or Pirelli Edition 5 Door DSG with sat nav Xenon. Just wondering what are key things to look out for? i have done some research but i though best to get some tips from previous owner and forum members.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Neetin

A decent Service History, ideally evidence of a service every 10k

DSG service every 40k

Test the DSG by ensuring there's no lurching or jerky movements, park on a hill, backside high and stick in reverse, release the brake and let the car go, if its jerky walk away.

Theres plenty of other buying advice out there for buying MK5's, especially on this forum.

Good luck

Service history is paramount on both
Plenty ED30's about and doesn't make much diference between the two , different interior and wheels only , so your taste will decide
If is lower mileage make sure it has been serviced every year

cheers guys for you input much appreciated.. i seen a few on auto trader which i like the look of.. i see that xenon are very rare on these cars and sat nav.. but i seen a place in surrey that do retro fit sat nav with bluetooth so dont mind car with just the xenon.. ideally i would like it fully loaded but i guess its rare to get it all..

anything else that i should look out for?

Hi im a newbie. When you say realse the brake do you mean  realse the brake and apply gas and if its jerky then walk away? or just when you realese the brake? I don't really know how DSGs even work  :indifferent:
