I can help you change a gateway Craigh. On a 55 car will it be behind the glovebox or on the RHS?

REALLY?? OMG if you could mate that would be a massive help! However I haven't got the car back from the garage as they are in hinkley. They are going to deliver it back for me however I may even travel to hinkley at the weekend and fetch it myself. I know I can't indicate but the garage said If they deliver it back it will be whenever they get a spare chance basically!

One thing I should mention is that sometimes after the car has been left alone for a while... the electrics seem to work. Like when the garage came to collect my car, the car locked and unlocked, the wipers came on and the windows went up and down. But then after a minute or so they all stop and then don't work.

Another thing that happens is the radiator fan kicks in after 30 seconds and spins very very fast! it then slows down after a minute or two and then does the same again.

I think it's just a bad connection either in the fuse box or body earth from what you've just said!

I don't know to be honest. I assume not as they are not covering me now so I can't imagine they will. I will call them tomorrow to find out what is happening in regards to that!

Well what I will do is when I get the car back I will try get a morning off work and then let you know for definite and then we can arrange summat.

Cheers mate!

Yea its weird how it stops and starts. Also when a door is shut, it says on the little display that the door is still open. Or the bonet is closed and it says its open.

From when I visited Eddie in my mates 56 plate his gateway was on the drivers side above the accelerator sort of area, but I have also heard they can be behind clutch area - sure someone can confirm
VCDS cable HEX-USB+CAN. New but can do the basics including coding

Bonnet switch and door switches indirectly report back to ccm behind glove box, this maybe faulty and need replacing as well say 50 quid or perhaps cheeper or free

The thing is this only started at the exact same time as all the other faults. Worked fine before.
