Midline computer
« on: February 21, 2014, 05:58:29 pm »
Hi everyone, hope you can help

Just got my golf gti with midline computer what option can you change for example:
Auto lock doors when moving
Radio station display
Windows auto close on lock
Single door unlocking

Can these options be turned on in midline or do they have to be done with vagcom or taking it to a vw dealer

Any ideas

You need a highline cluster for that mate pretty sure you will need mfsw also to access the menus, don't think you can do it with the rocker switch on the wiper stalk but I may be wrong!

If you want 3 of these features you need a highline ccm and can be done with vcds, the radio display on a full mfd would need your instrument cluster changed to a highline version as stated, you don't necessarily need a mfsw as you can have a highline mfd controlled via buttons on the wiper stalk.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

I have the lowline computer :(
But I did get the doors to lock after 15km/h , just comes up as an option when connected to vagcom. There was also choices like horn sound when locked but this didn't work on mine ? Also there was other options about locking/unlocking certain doors but I can't quite remember what the options where. This was all on vag com though.

Si, I've got a midline I think with no mfsw but rocker switch on wiper stalk. I've brought highline cluster will I be able to use all functions without mfsw and just of the rocker switch?

I can't guarantee it will defo work as some instrument clusters are only designed to work with mfsw , so its trial and error,  so fingers crossed for you
