Chrome mk6 style window switches - Rhd/ Lhd difference?
« on: February 26, 2014, 06:43:44 am »
Hi, I'm planning on retrofitting the mk6 style chrome electric window and mirror switches. Can anyone confirm whether the parts are universal or are they different for Rhd and Lhd cars?

Asking because some of the ones on eBay specify Lhd only, e.g. http://bit.ly/1fFqxes but the same parts on bold sport e.g. http://www.bold-sport.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=135 don't make any reference to Rhd/ Lhd.

Any ideas? Can't think why they'd be different

Also does anyone know if a power fold mirror switch would still work in a car without electric folding mirrors?

You need the correct convenience module and motors for the mirrors to fold. All the other functions on the switch should work like the heat and adjust

Ok thanks that should be fine as don't want powerfold but need the heating/ tilt functions to work

Is this going to work ok - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/OEM-VW-Chrome-auto-Headlight-switch-rearview-side-mirror-switch-Door-window-switch-for-VW-CC/868647665.html ? Seems to be a lot of variance in prices
