Are these VCDS codes anything to worry about?
« on: February 15, 2014, 08:05:32 pm »
So I did a quick scan on my newly purchased GTI and a few old fault codes are coming up. Car drives perfectly with no warning lights illuminated and it had quite a lot of work done last month, including a new PCV. Based on that would it be safe to assume these codes don't mean anything serious? Hoping it just means the module hasn't been cleared properly rather than actual problems that need attention! See below...

If the car runs ok with no warning dashboard lights illuminated, I would clear the codes and rescan after 10-20 miles.
Without traction power is nothing!

Perhaps the divertor valve? Early ones Prone to splitting
VCDS cable HEX-USB+CAN. New but can do the basics including coding

I'm thinking the repair was probably carried out but the original faults weren't cleared.
