Vagcom rear right? Driver side

I have an abs sensor fault and Vagcom is telling me it is the rear right sensor

Am I right in thinking that right side is the driver side?

Very true ha OP put it this way if your sitting in the car looking forward through the windscreen right is right and left is left wether it's LHD or RHD

I was just confused to whether it was the right of the car from facing the front or the rear!

I ordered a rear right abs sensor, was a pig of a job to remove the old one and when I tried to install the new one the plug connection is in the wrong place, so I'm guessing the motor factors look at the car from the front and Vagcom from the rear

Had the exact same issue with a front ABS sensor from a motor factors selling on ebay. They had it listed as the correct part number and picture, but in the listing had it as the wrong side (I didn't notice). It turned up wrong, so I messaged them and pointed it out, and they corrected the listing and arranged collection of the wrong part when delivering the correct one next day. Apologised profusely, and no hassles at all.

In the UK, rear right is the drivers side to both VW, VCDS, and should also be for motor factors.
