I need a new tyre(s)
« on: February 23, 2014, 03:56:14 pm »
Right guys, I need at least one front tyre. I would LOVE to get the Eagle F1's but it's not financially viable right now, and I don't want to go budget. What do you guys recommend?

What's your budget and 17's or 18's? F1's are only £95 per corner for 18's on camskill at the moment and vreds are £87

225/40/18 is the profile. Sorry.

For the Eagle I would have to get them fitted so it would work out the same price as buying them from my local. My budget would be around £75 / corner fitted. It's not a lot, I know, but I am so financial screwed. :( I might even need a new CV joint...

I know about Camskill, I am just deciding on what to get. They have some tyres for £38.50. It's like they want people to crash.

If budget is a struggle, Black circle tyres allow you to pay over 12 month's to spread the cost. I did that and it only cost me £26 more than buying out right. Plus they were fitted and I got 1000 tesco club card points,  which kept the missis happy :happy2:

I ran Toyo Proxes for 3-4 years, could not fault them for grip/wear for a mid-market tyre

I had some Kumho Ecstas on years and years ago (probably close to 7-8 years now) and they were pretty good for what they were. Probably best bet if you're after a decent sporty midline tyre IMO.

Not sure if you got tyres sorted but I have x4 Goodyear F1 Aysm 2's coming off mine shortly. They were purchased 19/6/2013 and have 7.00mm on the front and 7.5mm on the back. £340.
I'm changing to Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
