Milltek R32 rear silencer to Milltek GTI?!
« on: February 24, 2014, 08:50:52 am »
Hi!

I wonder if milltek rear silencer from a R32 fits to my full milltek on my ED30?!
I thinking about changing the rear valance to an R32 for the looks..!

Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the R32 style ones should. But the fitment for the actual R32 Milltek exhausts is different due to the 4wd

Ok, so there is a R32 "style" version that is made for the GTI?!
Found some on ebay, but it's with the middle pipe also, do i really need that pipe also?

Yes you need the R32 'style'...... our ed30 exhaust run down the nearside where is an actual r32 runs down the offside

If you have a full milltek you will have either a decat or sports cat down pipe. And either a resonated or non resonated cat back.  To change to the R32 style you would just need the cat back I believe which would include the middle pipe. However you may be able to just get the silencer from a local milltek dealer if you already have the middle pipe. I am only going off what I have read from the forum though as I don't have a milltek system on my Eddie.

I would try searching on the milltek website for a local dealer and ring them for their opinion. Or even better ring milltek themselves...

But definitely do not buy an R32 milltek exhaust as they are not designed for standard gti's

Ok, thanks!!

I have full milltek with race cat and it's a non resonated version... I will call a local dealer and ask him exactly what i need then!!
