Hi All

Just had 2 new tyres fitted to Eddie, whilst at Quick Fit I asked for a quote for new brake Discs and pads all round. The quote was around £560 

With that quote I called VW and they quoted £430 

Just amazed, thought I'd save a few £'s going to KF but the main dealers turned out cheaper 

Anyone else replaced the lot? Curious to see prices before I commit

Buy the discs and pads and replace yourself. Relatively easy job, cheapest option and the satisfaction of doing the job yourself. Take your time clean up all parts as most garages won't spend the time to do this.

Just replaced my front pads. Easy job.

£430 by VW is a pretty good price i think , just to buy the fronts and pads would cost around £180 , say £100 for rears , then only £150 labour to get them to do it for you ?

Shop around and consider some uprated aftermarket performance pads/discs. You might be surprised to see the difference in the price of that and genuine VW parts.

£150 for labour from VW for all four corners is not ridiculous.

I got to say I was surprised with Kwick Fit being more expensive, probably helps to fund the lifetime replacement on the pads. Nothing for free
