Vegas
« on: February 24, 2014, 06:25:01 pm »
Hopefully in a month's time we will be going. Stag do for mate who's getting married in the summer.

Flights already booked. Hotel being sorted at the mo.

Any dos, don'ts or general advice is welcome. Apparently we will be going to pool parties. How many can there be?

I went there for my stag do 2 years ago mate it's the best place on earth! I've been 3 times now and going back in the summer.  The pool parties are phenomenal! The day life is better than the night life IMO. You have to go to Wet republic on a Saturday.  Rehab on a Sunday is a must as well.  Other good pool parties are Tao beach at the Venetian , encore beach club at the Encore.  If your in a group of blokes with no women with ya you are going to need to pay for table service to guarantee entrance to the clubs and the pool parties.  We do this every year.  Basically you get given a minimum spend for your party which you must hit.  Different clubs charge different amounts.  The top clubs will be around 5k for a table which you can probably get 10 blokes on.  It's worth every penny as you get walked straight to the front of the que (which can save you a couple of hours queuing) and you get your own waitress who is at your beck and call all night which saves pissing around trying to get served at the bar.

You will have the time of your life mate! Where you staying?

It's free if your playing tho! Get pissed for free whilst your playing blackjack then go to the club half cut!

MGM or mirage depending on where we get a good deal. Definitely going to rehab.

Going for five days and four nights. How much do you reckon we would spend per day?

Anything we should take?
Heard pool parties are strict on attire.

I've stayed at the MGM it's decent.  Last two times I've stayed at the Aria which in awesome.

Pool parties aren't strict on attire but the clubs are.  You will struggle to get in clubs with t shirts/polo shirts as well as trainers even if they are smart.

On my stag do I spent to 2k in 4 days then last year I spent the same in 5 days.  All depends how much table service you get and now much gambling you do mate

Minimal gambling. I can play poker but don't have a poker face. I depend entirely on the luck of the cards which have always been reasonable.

Yeah I know someone who went and they said they wished they had packed their glad rags cuz everyone was trying to out dress each other. Also told me to be wary of Mexicans.

They sell this stuff called NOHO which is short for no Hangover which worked for me!   May of just been a placebo effect but I definitely didn't feel as rough after taking those!

Just go for a walk down the strip and you'll soon realise that "No-Ho" is a phrase you will be repeating quite often!!
