Greetings

I have been on this forum for a while and I think its time to showcase some of the mods which I have done to my car

This is my first car and I couldn't get anything bigger because of insurance prices so I had to settle down with this

Its done 55k and I have 1 year warranty on it

Anyway enough of me talking, let me begin...

My car from day uno

So the first thing I did was get my windows tinted

I then stared seeing many cars in my area that had been wrapped so I thought it was a really hot look so I decided to get it done as well by some guys called TWS west ealing

I then started changing some lights! (I also did the interior but i have no pics)

I changed the mouldings and door handles all to silver so its colour coordinated, SORRY but this is the only pic I have but you can see result in later pics....

I had a plate change because of some insurance reasons

I ALSO CHANGED MY REAR BADGE WITH ONE WHICH I GOT FROM BROOKESB ON THIS FORUM

I then began checking out some wheels, I began looking for 17s because 18s will kill my 1.4 lol. But now I want 18s :signLOL:

I was on a budget and ending up going with some audi rs4 reps which i got for a really good price. Now that I have more money I plan on getting some 3sdm's for my vehicle. I don't know why but they look really ugly on camera, physically they actually look decent

Then came a gt bumper which I got from ebay from the VW SPECIALIST

Some mods had to be done in order for it to fit  :innocent:

The next day in the sun

To match my roof and mirrors, I decided to spray my grill fully black

Then I managed to find some R32 outers on ebay which I picked up and fitted them asap

NOW! I tried extremely hard to find some inners, sooooooo what I did was contact member G40will and ask him to tint some standard inner tail lights for a fee of course. I saw a post about him stating that he had done it to his own car and it looked pretty good so I decided to give it a go.

In my opinion they look legit! good job Will

And finally this is where is ends for now

My final plans:

NEW 18' ALLOYS
SIDESKIRTS
EXHAUST
NEW VALANCE

Oh and ofcoure

COILOVERS!!!

Bye for now :happy2:

Looks tidy mate, well done :happy2:

Are those GTI front lights or are they tinted yourself? Also, what bulbs are you using in your headlights?

Thanks Jack

No they aren’t tinted, there the gti ones which I was lucky enough to get with the car, but I have seen a member which has tinted his headlights to get them to look like mine and it looked pretty good, if you ask on the forum surely someone will help you

Im assuming you probably have the the chrome version which are these

I have the darker gti version

My sidelights (the last picture) I got from ebay but I can't remember the name

My headlights bulbs which I got from a local shop are these

Im back with a few new upgrades to my car

First thing is first
I unwrapped the roof+mirrors and went back to standard.
It was limiting my options in terms of colours because I always had to put dark things or else it wouldn't go too well

Got coils fitted by yaash motors, they did a great job

Got the valance changed finnaly

I was really hesitating on going for the exhaust or not. In the end I decided to go for the exhaust option seen as I'm planning on keeping this car for a while so i can build up my no claims and get something better

Last thing on the list was obviously wheels, I got these mercedes ankaa 17" which obviously needed a refurb

This is what they would look like on the car in this standard colour, but I went for another colour instead

I went for the diamond cut option, need to get a new centre cap

The first look I got of these after fitting :noteworthy:

People think my car has a 2litre engine now lol :D

I'm sure you also fully aware that you can't use this car for more than 6 monts in a year on UK roads ? Or if you have permanent job in UK and you are resident of UK you have to get UK insurance, TAX and MOT straight away ...

If you'd of said to me "Mercadies wheels on a Golf?" and I'd of dismissed it, but these work so well! Car looks amazing, go get a remap to get some extra power! :pomppomp:

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
