Very easy and painless, much better than I expected. Knocked a little off the price quoted but it still worked out as more than I was offered elsewhere. Hoping my GTI should be a lot more reliable.

I'm going to quote that on uk-mkivs haha

Lol well to be fair the main reason I got the gti was I wanted something faster and more interesting. The 1.4 tsi was fine when I sold it but had given me a bit of grief over the past year. My advice for anyone considering one is warranty is essential!

I do not know whether it was maybe my bad luck ot the fact I have an TSI(170) but within 3 months of having mine I got the Engine Management Light and loss of all power with Engine shuddering. Ended up it was some cracked pistons so in the end it cost 2500 for a new engine to be fitted, then new fuel regulator at 250 and a few other bits. All in all it cost over 3k but luckily the garage took on the bill with a £500 contribution from me.

I love the car but when putting my foot down I am so conscious of something going bang when pushing the engine  :driver:

Arranging for wewillbuyyourcar to come and buy the car this week, They are giving me over my settlement fee.

Hopefully it goes well and i can get rid of this car, Totalled my bills up last night, In 18 months i have spent just under £2.5k with engine problems.

I will be looking for an Edition 30 next i think.

For anyone interested.

I sold my car earlier to wewillbuyyourcar, Guy came around 9am this morning, Did his inspection, Found my inner bald tyres lol They offered me £300 less than what they originally offered me, Still, It's paid off my settlement fee.

Just glad to get rid of the TSI which has caused me nothing but trouble!
