will an rcd 310 work ok?

hi all ive got an 05 tdi sport with a standard (although nackered rcd300). want to upgrade was thinking of the rcd 510 but i believe i will suffer battery drainage issues so thought about the rcd 310 does anyone know if i will get the same battery drainage problems with this unit. any help appreciated

I think it will to be honest.

The CD units introduced into the Scirocco and MK6 seem to cause the drain issues as you know.  Personally I would look for an RCD500 or an MFD2, or if you have loads of money, an RCD510  :happy2:
