Well my car (S3) is currently running a stage 2+ R-Tech map giving a healthy 353bhp & 400lb/ft or torque. I'm going back to see Nick next week to have some work done on my DSG box (development work as he's not done my model one before) So I asked if he do do some more mapping on my engine, I was going to get a turbo discharge pipe, as I thought that's all I had left to buy lol.
I started to look into the RS3 LPFP and thought it wasn't worth it but then a friend said he was getting one for his ED30 so it got me thinking and I did some logging of my LPFP only to see it does get a bit low (see bellow) When he fitted the RS3 pump in his the car didn't like it all sorts of fuel cut, power on and off.
So we thought to try it in my car to rule out if the pump was at fault... It's staying in now!!!, see bellow:
Standard Pump
Standard pump duty
RS3 Pump
RS3 duty
As you can see the standard pump drops to around 3.8 bar with the pump duty over 90% whereas the RS3 pump produces 4.5 at 70%
Hope some people find it of some use
