Mk7 Golf GTI on Top Gear 02/03/14

On now!!

Comparing it with the BMW M135i. Pouring rain during the test makes it interesting. Liking the Golf in (Tornado) Red.  :drool:

I agree or the s3 , the gti isn't even a rival for the cars it was against  :stupid: I seen another vid might of been autocar or what ever it's called and it was against the same cars I just don't get it.

Difficult to say, is the R is aligned to the (yet to be launched) 1/2M and RS3?. Are the GTI and M135i are actually in the same brand, so to speak.

Will probably be on iPlayer from about 10 or 11pm tonight.

I missed a lot of it due to crap WiFi signal.  :fighting2: Will be re-watching it later too.

Not a spoiler but they compared the Golf GTI Mk7 to the M135i. As a few people mention above, I don't think it's the best comparison. The BMW is vastly over powered compared to the Golf. The Golf has the Performance Pack though. Would have liked if they'd spent some more time on that. Overall good opinion of the Golf from Top Gear.  :happy2:

Lots of cycling talk. Usual star in the reasonably priced car slot and not much else, dunno where the hour went!  :confused:

People's thoughts on the Need for Speed Movie?
