Pretty sure the rules are:You don't post the full registration plate.
This is the place to record your sightings of Mk5 Golf GTIs, and any other noteworthy VAG motor. Have you seen a mint Golf GTI, or maybe a tired but rare Ã…Â koda Estelle? Perhaps an Audi "Q" car caught your eye, such as an RS4. Did you think the alloys on the yellow Seat Leon Cupra were tasty? Have you spotted "sir" being chauffered in his Bentley? Or were you stopped dead in your tracks by a Bugatti Veyron? And if you spotted a GTI W12 650 on the M1 - you might need to wipe the semi-skimmed from your eyebrows. Post the date, the time, the place, and details of your sighting here, and ask if it belongs to a fellow forum member (or dare I suggest, a member of a competators forum ).Please start your thread title with something like the following:Golf Mk5 GTI Ed30, FM57 ***, M6 northbound, 31 Oct 2008orAudi RS6 saloon, black, Kings Rd, Chelsea, 7 May 2008Do NOT, under any circumstances, post the full registration number (either in the title, or the post). Try to quote about half the registration number, but leave out the identifying "random" digits. So for the current reg plate format, the first four locality and age identifiers are OK, but the last three random letters are NOT. So "FM5* ABC" is not allowed, but "GA08 ***" is fine. For the older style plate formats, the year letter, and the three identifying letters are OK, but the numbers are not acceptable. "S123 ***" is NOT ok, but "S*** WAH" is ok. Understood! You may be lucky, and find that a member has noticed your own pride and joy!-----------------This can also the place to help fellow forum members. Have you spotted any "boys in blue" - including regular marked patrol cars, unmarked cars such as Scoobys with extra lights and aerials, hidden/mobile speed traps, and speed . . . sorry, safety camera vans ready to catch unsuspecting motorists. If you could include any details, such as usual timings, and frequency of attendence at a particular location. It might just save your bacon!
