Front Bumper
« on: March 07, 2014, 10:55:28 pm »
What an effin day. Got carved up by some ***** in an Audi at a roundabout, left me with a choice of clip the curb or the Audi. Cracked the front bumper and lower grills as a result of the curbing. Was on the wish list, will just get done early now I guess :|

Has anyone bought something off these guys before?  http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/221252739381

Wondering if it is a 'will fit any mk5' as claimed or will need some trimming?

I have that bumper, I would have gone genuine but my mate had it for his golf then wrote it off before he had a chance to get it sprayed so I got it really cheap.

I had it professionally sprayed an fitted by my local body shop and the guy said they had to trim some of the packing foam behind the bumper but not the bumper itself. It's on now and the is pretty much spot on only thing with that kit is that for some reason the fog lights use the standard golf circular foglights rather than the slightly oval shaped GTI ones although I assume you can overcome this by just buying different fog grills if it bothers you that much.

Another thing is from what I can see the splitter at the bottom can't be removed easily so you can't really upgrade it to the edition 30 if you wanted to.

I can supply a few pics of mine fitted if that helps?
