Truth be told, I'd love a petrol car as a weekend ride. I've driven my old MK5 GTI and a friends Revo'd MK6 GTI with DSG in the last few weeks and it makes you grin, but for different reasons. A quick diesel makes you grin because it does similar things, but you don't feel like it's cost you exceptional amounts like in a petrol. The real world reality for most families/people is that fast petrol cars are not at all
cheap to run, it's as simple as that.
I'd think carefully before you sell your Edition 30 because I think they're an exceptional 'grinning'
car, however the vRS TDI shouldn't be a flat disappointed compared (
in my experience).
