Iv fitted a aftermarket unit in my mk5 originally it had mfd 2 so the aerials are In the rear screen!
Firstly it has the aerial selector control unit under the drivers seat! Will this still do it's job with the original unit not fitted?
Secondly I fitted an aerial booster/fakra converter for the double fakra connection!
Did I even need to fit the booster as iv seen on the wire diagram that it has amplifiers in the tailgate...
I was under the impression that the original head unit sent out a phatom 12v for the aerials?? Hence needing the booster on my alpine unit???
