VWR Sport Springs

Anyone got pics of these fitted with standard dampers, and any comments about the ride quality would be appreciated.

I know they don't lower by much but I only want a subtle drop and as I have a steep drive so don't want to get problems catching my front spoiler.

yep i have them and really happy with them, now the car has settled they have lowered it 20mm all round. the ride is exactly the same as standard, but a little less body roll in the corners. and yes they are the lightweight ones in blue. i will try and get some pictures today and post them up. i know what you mean about catching, i wouldnt want to go any lower, when i came off the 4 post ramp at my garage the ed30 front spoiler was a milimeter off the sloped bit, also when i park up sometimes the front goes over the curb abit and the spoiler is very close to it! but so far no issues at all. if you want an oem look and feel then recomended  :happy2:

Been tempted buy these springs for a while dont know wether to go for the VWR springs or Eibach sportlines

tyre to arch gap is 20mm all round thats with brand new tyres ps2's
arch to wheel centre is 342 mm all round

Looks good think I', going to give them a try.

Also thinking of combining this with the White Line Anti Lift kit and thats about me done for suspension.

Haven't been here for a while now, but the time has now come for me to make my way down the slippery slope (not too steep i hope :scared:)

My car has now covered 30k and the suspension seems to be on the soft side, so I was thinking of either upgrading the springs or going all out on a set of coilovers - both by VWR.  Mark from VWR has assured me that their suspension setup used on their demo car does not compromise on comfort and the car can be used on a daily basis without shattered bones, but after reading this thread i'm more inclined to go for the springs now and maybe change to the coilovers at a later date, as I'm still afraid i'll compromise too much on comfort if i go for coilovers.  A test drive in their demo car is on the 'to do' list so that may change things :driver:.

Just a slight reservation I have is this; I have heard that changing the springs only can put more stress on the dampers and reduce their life span.  Is this true?

yes its true in  most cases, but less so for our cars as we have uprated damper anyway. Havent heard of any aftermarket springed cars with leaky dampers.
