Sorry for the simple noob question but I've only just shown a real interest in detailing so I'm still learning

Basicly I've washed ,polished and waxed my car

It's now time to wash my car again

So I'll snow foam it and use the 2b method And dry the car

so now do I apply wax again or simpily use a quick detailer or a spray wax/sealant  :ashamed:

Thank you

Entirely up to you, It will need waxing again at some point but you could probably wax it after every other was as it will come up well with a quick detailer as most of the wax will have held

As long as you rinse it down first, otherwise you will end up working dirt into it.

When I wash/wax/polish mine, I usually wash it the next week and just polish it quickly and it comes up well because the wax holds from the previous time if that makes sense...

Play around and see what methods/products work best for you  :happy2:

Usually wax the car every couple of months, depending how good the wax is. And quick detailer after every couple of washes

depending on which wax you're using, some will last up to 6 months, i tend to top mine up every other month, i sometimes go a bit mad with it in the summer when its hot though! haha

just make sure you're using ph neutral stuff, some car shampoos etc will take the wax off :)

If you use a good wax that lasts a few months then use a spray wax to make regular washing/waxing easy and quick.
I have used Autoglym aquawax for years and its the best wax for topping up on your routine washes. You can apply it when the car has just been rinsed so removes one boring step of washing. If you use bilt hamber snowfoam first then you will find that it does a very good job of cleaning the car for a super quick clean up.

As above, most waxes last more than a few weeks. I love P21S/R222 but it barely manages three weeks' durability. Some of the hybrid stuff can last 2-3 months easily. I tend to sheet water after rinsing to help with the drying process and this helps me decide whether to top up the LSP or not. Otherwise pretty much every wash is followed by a QD. I never use QD on a dry car unless it's to remove bird lime in an emergency.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Thanks for all the comments guys helped a lot

Upto now the equipment I've got is

Uk valet cherry Snow foam
Ph natural dodo juice sour pour
Poorboys black hole
Ag liquid wax
Presto quick detailer

So after a rinse ,snow foam and a 2b method wash with sour power I simply dry and then apply some quick detailer/spray wax

And top up the wax when I think it's ready

When do you guys polish the car ?

My products seem all over the place but it's just what I've collected over time ,when I didn't know what I was doing lol I'm getting there slowly :)

Polish the car if you have imperfections or swirls that you want to get rid of. If you polish it properly with a good polish then you wont need to do it again for a long time. you can use waxes that fill swirls etc. to give the just polished look as well. Have a look at bilt hambers range on their site. They dont sell as many products as other companies but they only release a product when it betters the competition.

As maintenance wash (following wax) I normally snow foam 2 bucket wash, towel dry and quick detail. I use a QD that has some added protection built in to boost the wax layer temporarily
